The Third Party Access (TPA) initiative is a pro-active measure by PETRONAS Gas Berhad (PGB) in facilitating the security of gas supply for Peninsular Malaysia and in anticipating gas market liberalisation by the Malaysian Government.

With TPA in place, PGB’s gas transmission system is now open for access by interested parties who wish to participate in Peninsular Malaysia’s gas market.

The benefits of this initiative include, among others:

• promotes security of gas supply for Peninsular Malaysia;
• provides opportunities for Industries and business to source their own gas supply; and
• provides growth opportunity for energy players.

The TPA arrangement will be governed by a Network Code to ensure transparency and fairness to parties subscribing to PGB’s gas transportation service.
